Vaporesso XROS 6 vs XROS Pro 2: Which One Should You Buy?

The XROS 6 and the XROS Pro 2 are both COREX 3.0 pod vapes from Vaporesso, and both work with the full XROS pod series. The difference is not flavour alone. It is battery size against charging speed, and a newer everyday design against a more premium flagship design.

Short answer: Buy the XROS Pro 2 if you want the biggest XROS battery, the larger screen and the most premium build. Buy the XROS 6 if you want faster charging, the newer VENTURI airflow and a simpler everyday pod. The XROS 6 is not a straight upgrade over the Pro 2. It is the newer standard XROS, while the Pro 2 still sits above it for battery and features.

What is the same

Both use COREX 3.0 pods, both go up to 30W, and both let you share pods across the XROS family. That matters because replacement pods are easy to find, and you are not locked into one device’s pods. Both are mouth-to-lung first, with room for a looser restricted direct-lung draw on the lower-resistance pods. Neither is a direct-lung cloud device.

Where the XROS 6 wins

The XROS 6 charges faster. Its 3A USB-C charging is quoted at about 50% in 10 minutes, against 2A charging on the Pro 2. It also adds VENTURI airflow, which Vaporesso presents as a smoother, denser draw, and a 60-second Smart Prime timer that helps a new pod soak before first use. Its screen is smaller at 0.88 inches, but it still shows battery and device status clearly, and it has both button firing and auto-draw.

Where the XROS Pro 2 wins

The Pro 2 wins on battery and on build. Its 2000mAh battery is the largest in the XROS range, and its magnesium-alloy body is described in our review as weighing only about 65g. Its 0.96-inch colour screen is larger, with 6 themes, and Super Pulse mode is designed to keep output steady as the battery drains, so flavour does not fade late in the day. It also adds puff tracking. The trade-off is slower 2A charging, and real-world capacity measured below the 2000mAh rating in published hands-on testing cited in our review.

Battery and charging, in plain terms

If you vape heavily through the day, the Pro 2’s larger battery is the safer choice, even though it charges more slowly. If you top up often, or you want the quickest recharge between uses, the XROS 6’s 3A charging is the more practical advantage. With a higher-resistance pod such as 0.8 ohm or 1.0 ohm, either device should comfortably cover a typical MTL day. With a 0.4 ohm pod, expect faster battery use on both.

Which pods should you use?

Both devices take every XROS pod, so the choice is about draw, not compatibility. For a tight, cigarette-like MTL draw with nicotine salts, use a 1.0 ohm or 1.2 ohm pod. For everyday MTL, a 0.8 ohm pod is the balanced choice. For a looser draw with more vapour, a 0.6 ohm pod works well, and the 0.4 ohm pod is the most open option in the range. Note that the Pro 2 ships with 0.4 ohm and 0.6 ohm pods, while the XROS 6 ships with 0.6 ohm and 0.8 ohm pods, so your first pod experience will differ out of the box.
